Hola Catherine, todo depende del tipo de iluminación que se pretenda conseguir en los trabajos manuales. Si se trata de iluminar libros como se hacía en la Edad Media, la cuestión es bastante compleja, exige una técnica muy depurada, conoci...mientos amplios de caligrafía y preparación y utilización de pigmentos naturales para los colores, además de saber trabajar con panes de oro (bastante costoso por cierto). Imágenes del libro The art of illuminating as practised in Europe from the earliest times ([1866?]), con más de 100 cromolitografías de William Robert Tymms y un ensayo de aproximadamente 90 páginas de Matthew Dibby es uno de los mejores y más instructivos manuales que he encontrado sobre iluminación y decoración de libros en la edad media.
